THC (To-Hit Chance) is a Combat mechanic in The Age of Decadence.
This indicates the chance to hit your opponent.

Mechanics

The formula is given as:

  • Base THC (To-Hit Chance) formula is (Attack - Defence + 50%)

Attack

Attack = (Skill Level x10) + Stat Bonus + Training + Synergy + Perception + Weapon + Helmet + Shield + Penalty)

  • Skill Level - Weapon Type level
  • Stat Bonus - Preferred Stat's bonus from equipped Weapon Type
  • Training - t.b.a.
  • Synergy - Bonus from another weapon type skill level
  • Perception - Accuracy Bonus. see: Perception
  • Weapon - Equipped weapon's bonus
  • Helmet - Equipped helmet's penalty
  • Shield - Equipped shield's penalty
  • Penalty - t.b.a.
THC Example

Example

Attack:65 = (Skill Level x10):40 + Stat Bonus:15 + Training:0 + Synergy:0 + Perception:10 + Weapon:0 + Helmet:0 + Shield:0 + Penalty:0)

  • Skill Level - 40 (Dagger level is 4; 4x10 = 40)
  • Stat Bonus - 15 (weapon is dagger, preferred stat is dex. Therefore, 9 Dexterity grants 15 pts)
  • Training - 0
  • Synergy - 0
  • Perception - 10 (Perception 8 gives 10 pts)
  • Weapon - 0
  • Helmet - 0
  • Shield - 0
  • Penalty - 0
