Mysterious Reliquary

The Crimson Eye - A heavy, glowing red sphere, encased in a bronze reliquary.

Background

Its many royal owners decorated this relic of the olden days with gold and gemstones, creating a truly priceless artifact. One of the legends says that it's a purest crystal containing blood of a High Lord, another, equally trustworthy story informs you that it's an eye of a Chaos God slain in one of the final battles.

Gameplay

The Crimson Eye is carried by Gaelius and used to unlock Zamedi. It can be obtained on a number of routes in Maadoran:

• Aurelian Praetor: Given after quest "Fetching An Army", if the Ordu made it through Harran's Pass.
• Boatmen of Styx: Assassinate Gaelius and Darista in quest "Kingslayer" (quest is obtainable by negotiating with Levir in quest "Antidas' Hoard").
• Forty Thieves: Assassinate Gaelius in quest "Payback".

Identification

"It's not a gemstone," says Levir after examining the reliquary, "so whatever value it has... Iola, I think it's definitely up your alley. Take a look."

Iola

"It's a key to Zamedi," Iola says with certainty. "There were several studies on the nature of the key, but their results were inconclusive at best."
